52 House Members Ask White House to Boost Biodiesel

Jul 03, 2014

Expressing urgent concerns about a proposed cut, 52 members of the U.S. House of Representatives from across the country called on President Barack Obama to continue growing biodiesel volumes under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).

The letter, which was led by Rep. Collin Peterson (D-MN) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), can be found here. ASA sent a similar letter to President Obama in June, which can be viewed here.

In a draft RFS rule released in November, the EPA proposed holding biodiesel volumes at 1.28 billion gallons – below the levels produced in 2014.
