Become an ASA Recruiter

ASA recruiters are YOU – Actual soybean producers telling their story and demonstrating how ASA and your state soybean association are working on your behalf to protect your ability to farm and promoting new opportunities to increase your profitability.

ASA recruiters represent the best and brightest working in your industry. ASA recruiters volunteer their time because they know soybean producers need someone to watch their backs when policy regulations are being debated and created in Washington, D.C.

So ASA is asking YOU to join the recruiter ranks and help us grow! For information on how to become an ASA recruiter, contact Byron Keelin at or call your state soybean association.

ASA New Member Engagement Contest

ASA Recruiter Pin Club

ASA Recruiter Lapel Pin Club

Become a Recruiter and Be a Part of an Elite Club

ASA member recruiters are a dedicated rare breed of individuals. ASA member recruiters stand up for their profession and consistently build the ranks of ASA and their state membership.

ASA recruiters who recruit 10, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 or more will receive a lapel pin and certificate announcing their admittance to each club. The Lapel Pin Club is just a small token of our appreciation for a recruiter’s dedication to building membership.

The total recruits are cumulative and will continue throughout their recruiting careers until they reach the 300 recruit level (Super Recruiter Club). The Lapel Pin Club is open to any ASA member. All you need to do is recruit a minimum of 10 of your fellow soybean producers anytime of the year.

Once you become a member of one of the Lapel Pin Club levels, ASA encourages you to wear your pin to any ASA or state association soybean producer meeting and let people know you’re proud to help protect their freedom to operate.

The following pins are for each level achieved are:

Recruiters earn points that can be redeemed for a variety of Gift Cards. Click here to Check your point balance and order Gift Cards with your points.

A minimum of three members must be recruited in a membership year before a recruiter can redeem reward points for the first time. (A recruiter must recruit three members in a fiscal year October – September to be considered “active.”) Once the minimum is reached, recruiters can redeem their points at any time for available items.

Recruiter Points

ASA maintains a formal point system to determine recruiter eligibility and ranking for incentives and recognition. Recruiter points should only be assigned by state and/or national membership staff when recruiters have made personal contact with and signed a new or renewed current or lapsed member through personal efforts, including, but not limited to, mailings, telephone, electronic media and face-to-face meetings. It is the responsibility of state and national membership staff to ensure the integrity and equality of this honor based system.

Points for the ASA Member Recruitment and Retention Program may only be earned for recruitment and retention activities conducted during fiscal year 2015 (Oct 1, 2014 – Sept 30, 2015). Points are determined utilizing the following formula:

Recruiter Points

Points Earned Activity
 70  Recruit a 1-year member
160  Recruit a 3-year member
500  Recruit a Lifetime member

Redeeming Recruiter Points

Recruiters must redeem their points earned in fiscal year 2015 (Oct 1, 2014 – Sept 30, 2015) for recruiting by Dec 15, 2015 or the points will be forfeited.
