Savannah Recruiter Reward Trip

A group of 18 people participated in the 2014 Recruiter Reward Trip, a four day/three night trip to Savannah, Ga. The group is seen here on a dinner cruise on the Savannah River Queen.

The 2014 ASA Recruiter Reward Trip to Savannah, Ga. took place Nov. 18-21. The trip was a reward for high achievement by volunteers in membership recruitment. Participating volunteer recruiters and their guests were Jerry and Mary Lou Bambauer (OH), Mark and Bonnie Brown (MN), John Buck (OH), Jim and Jan Miller (NE), Harvey and Mary Morken (ND), Robert and Sallie Nelsen (MN), and Doug and Stacy Schroeder (IL). Also participating were Chairman of the ASA Membership & Corporate Relations Committee Bob Worth and his wife Gail, and ASA staff Farris Haley, Chris Merlotti and Jill Wagenblast.

The agenda included a trolley tour of old Savannah, tour of the landmark Owens-Thomas House, visit to Tybee Island Light House, a ghost tour of haunted Savannah, tour of the historic Green-Meldrim House, visit to Pin Point Heritage Museum, and visits to Savannah Bee Company and Byrd Cookie Company. Delicious southern cooking and fresh seafood were highlights during meals at Huey’s Southern Café, The Pirates’ House Restaurant, The Crab Shack, Pacci Italian Kitchen and Mrs. Wilkes’ Dining Room. On the final evening the group participated in a dinner cruise on the Savannah River Queen.

To be eligible for the Recruiter Reward Trip recruiters had to sign up at least 30 members between Oct. 1, 2013 and Aug. 28, 2014. There were 20 recruiters who met that criteria and their names were entered into a drawing where seven names were pulled to participate in the trip to Savannah.  The seven recruiters whose names were drawn recruited a combine total of 416 members.
