ASA Comments on EPA Rootworm Management Resistance Proposal

Apr 23, 2015

ASA submitted comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its recent proposal to improve corn rootworm resistance management. Noting that nearly all soybean farmers also grow corn, ASA offered three concerns with the proposal: opposition to the mandatory rotation of crops; the prohibition of use of soil-applied insecticides over Bt products; and a proposal to establish a public database to identify unexpected damage in Bt corn fields.  The full text of the comments is here.
