ASA Farmer-Leaders Sit Down with Brazilian Counterparts in Washington

ASA President Danny Murphy and Board member Ron Kindred met Wednesday with 19 members of the Brazilian soybean and corn industries, as well as representatives from the American Farm Bureau Federation and the National Corn Growers Association at Farm Bureau’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. The meeting was facilitated, organized and led by Dow AgroSciences, and included representatives from Dow’s North American and Brazilian offices.

The groups met to exchange information and ideas on topics including the Brazilian and American experiences with consumer-farmer connection and the importance of a unified agriculture industry; new biotechnology traits, labeling and market acceptance in Brazil; and farm programs and crop insurance in the U.S.
