ASA to Take Part in Farm Bill Listening Session at Farm Progress Show

Aug 24, 2017

American Soybean Association (ASA) President Ron Moore, Vice President John Heisdorffer and Chairman Richard Wilkins will be on hand in Decatur, Ill., next week for the House Agriculture Committee’s Farm Bill Listening Session. Held on Wednesday, Aug.  30 at Richland Community College, in conjunction with the 2017 Farm Progress Show, the listening session is an opportunity for Moore, Heisdorffer, Wilkins and other farmers to share farmer priorities for the upcoming farm bill discussions with House Agriculture Committee leadership. While ASA will make a statement at the listening session, the format for the event is open, and farmers attending the Farm Progress Show are encouraged to attend. Please note that the listening session has a capacity of 300, and the event has a hard cutoff at noon, so it is possible all farmers present may not have an opportunity to speak, so please come early! Those interested in speaking should be at Shilling Auditorium on the Richland campus at 1 College Park in Decatur at 8 a.m. ASA’s priorities for the next farm bill can be found by clicking here.
