Geoff Ruth is a seventh-generation farmer who along with his father, Bart, produce soybeans, corn, and cover crop rye on their 3,000-acre farm in Rising City, NE. He and his wife, Christa, have three children (Kaleigh, Garrett, and Avery) who actively participate in 4H, FFA, and nearly all activities at Shelby-Rising City Public Schools.
Geoff received a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in 2006. In addition to farming, Geoff has served on numerous boards, including President of Shelby-Rising City Public School’s Board of Education, Past-President of the Nebraska Soybean Association, Nebraska Farm Service Agency-State Committee, as well as different positions at Immanuel Lutheran Church and various other local committees. He currently sits on the Farm Policy Action Team with the American Soybean Association.
