Cliff Barron, a farmer from Johnsonville, S.C., has been on the American Soybean Association’s (ASA) Board of Directors since 2016.

He’s served three years on the South Carolina Corn and Soybean Association (SCCSA) and was elected vice president in 2016.

Barron is a first generation farmer growing soybeans, corn and wheat on 1,500 acres. He’s an avid of practitioner of cover crops and other conservation and stewardship practices. Barron was part of the 2014 class of ASA/DuPont Young Leaders program and a participant in ASA/Syngenta’s Leadership At Its Best program in 2015.

Barron and his wife Hailey have two daughters: Ansley and Raya.
