As reported by the Coalition for Transportation Productivity this week, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Truck Size and Weight Study is well underway. DOT is expected to release the first results of its “desk scan” of existing truck size and weight research in the coming days with preliminary technical results from the study scheduled to be available as early as the spring of 2014, and the final report expected to be issued by November of next year.
