Roy Bardole, current member and past chair of the World Soy Foundation Board, has been a proud supporter of the foundation since its beginning, as well as innovative leader in the industry. As a fifth generation farmer from Rippey, Iowa, he believes he’s not just growing soybeans and corn. Instead, he's growing the food and feed that will eventually become protein—the primary building block for malnourished people.

Roy says, “A child starved of protein will grow up to be less than they could be. It’s my responsibility as a producer to contribute to a better tomorrow with a generation that can think and reason better. By donating the value of just an acre of soybeans, I can make a difference.”

Roy’s support of the Foundation has inspired others, including his grandson, Schyler Bardole. Schyler wanted to support the Foundation’s work in Haiti in 2010 after a 7.0 earthquake. He organized a fundraiser to send SoyCows as a more sustainable solution. In 2011, Roy and Schyler traveled to Haiti together to see the project that they helped fund.

The foundation appreciatively recognizes Roy’s past and present support in reducing malnutrition worldwide. We would like to invite you to join Roy and other farmer leaders like him to make a difference by donating the value of an acre of soybeans today.
