George Goblish

Vesta, MN

George farms with three generations on his family farm near Vesta, Minnesota. George and his wife, Jenifer, farm with his dad, Joseph, and son Jordan, and his other children, Joshua, Jasmine and Jayden, also help out. George farms corn and soybeans, sells seed, and has a local trucking operation. He is active in his community, where he is a volunteer fireman, member of the Vesta Lions Club, member of the board of directors for Highwater Ethanol, director of the Minnesota Corn Promotion and Research Council and the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association. He has been an ASA director for the past four years, where he has served on several committees, most recently as chair of the ASA SoyPAC committee, WISHH board member, and liaison to the Soy Aquaculture Alliance.

Farming is George’s passion, and he continues to work to influence legislation that affects his farming operation and those of farmers like him. He believes farmers work hard to provide safe, reliable food to consumers and that education is important so that others understand what farmers do to take care of their land for future generations.

Besides farming, George enjoys traveling, especially when he can go scuba diving. He likes snowmobiling, fishing, and hunting with family and friends.
