Oct 26, 2017

The ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) Program joined the Iowa Soybean Board, Soyfoods Council  and USB as sponsors of the Symposium Soy Luncheon, a key event in the week’s activities. On Thursday, October 19, USB Chairman John Motter and ISA President Bill Shipley took time from their busy harvest schedule to join soy family staff and 1100 U.S. and international participants at the Borlaug Dialogues in Des Moines, Iowa. Rajiv Shah, President of the Rockefeller Foundation, spoke of the importance of protein in fighting undernutrition now and in the future, and about the importance that foods be attractive and acceptable to consumers; Linda Funk, Executive Director of the Soyfoods Council, proved that point with her delicious lunch menu with soy in the salad, main course and dessert.
