WISHH Convenes Ghana Poultry Industry Support Working Group in Atlanta

At U.S. Department Agriculture/Foreign Agriculture Service ((USDA/FAS) Ghana’s request, the American Soybean Association’s WISHH program organized a meeting among key stakeholders working  on feed and poultry industry and policy development in Ghana; the meeting took place Monday ahead of the International Production and Processing Show (IPPE) in Atlanta, GA.

Participants included representatives from: USAPEEC, World Poultry Foundation, University of Georgia, Kansas State University, ACDI/VOCA and the Ghanaian Poultry Producers’ Association.

WISHH and FAS/Ghana chaired the three hour round table on past, present and future activities designed to strengthen Ghanaian poultry production.  The World Poultry Foundation has been conducting training programs for Ghanaian poultry producers for several years and the group discussed synergies and future activities that could complement the significant funds USDA’s Food for Progress has awarded ASA/WISHH’S AMPLIFIES Ghana and ACDI/VOCA’s Ghana Poultry Program.
