WISHH Welcomes New Business Development Manager

Keenan McRoberts is the new business development manager for the American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH). This innovative program devotes funds and staff resources to the expansion of markets for U.S. soy protein in human diets and animal feed in the developing world.

McRoberts was raised on his family's farm and exotic animal ranch in western Nebraska. He received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He then worked with the U.S. Peace Corps in Nicaragua as an agricultural extension educator, technical specialist and Trainer. He completed his master's in international agriculture and rural development and Ph.D. in animal science at Cornell University, with applied research programs executed in Mexico and Vietnam, respectively.

McRoberts is chair of the Board of Directors for Help Educate, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to higher education via university scholarships and leadership development programming for Nicaraguan youth. He is also a new member of Advisory Council for Gateway Greening, a nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering people to strengthen communities through urban agriculture in St. Louis.

McRoberts and his wife Jacqueline are 2014 transplants to the St. Louis area and reside in University City.
