This week, the American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) nutrition consultant Cade Fields-Gardner and Africa Project Officer Josh Neiderman traveled to Mozambique to monitor the ASA/WISHH component of the McGovern-Dole Food for Education project awarded to Planet Aid.

The team visited several schools in the Maputo Province to interview educators about their ability to incorporate nutrition education messaging through the Nationwide Nutrition Education program. The educators have trained in the messaging through the ASA/WISHH program and the partnership of ADPP Mozambique.

The Nationwide Nutrition Education program is working to diffuse basic nutrition and hygiene lessons to one million Mozambicans by the end of 2015.
