Biotechnology regulators, international trade experts and farmers from around the world will meet in Champaign, Ill. this summer to discuss ways to streamline regulatory and trade approvals for farmer use of biotech seed and the worldwide trade of soybeans, corn and other crops grown with biotechnology.
While U.S. and international biotechnology companies have dozens of new transgenic events under development, currently the world lacks a synchronized, science-based system for countries to export and import grain, oil and other products produced from biotech crops.
Leaders in agriculture, food and trade from major grain importing and exporting countries are invited to the heart of America's farm belt to begin work on a solution at the International Biotechnology Symposium on Aug. 26. Learn more at www.biotechnologysymposium.com.
