May 11, 2017

The American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) AMPLIFIES Project Director Erica Morrow and Project Specialist Cody Harston traveled to Ghana to monitor program activities for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food for Progress funded program.

While in country, Morrow and Harston traveled to Sunyani to visit a Field Monitoring Office and Samuel Kwame Ntim Adu of Yedent Agro Groups of Companies Limited, a soybean meal processor. Yedent is an AMPLIFIES partner running InstaPro extruders and selling soybean meal to feedmillers and poultry producers. Yedent is a WISHH supply chain partner for U.S. soy proteins destined for food use.

During the trip, the project specialist was able to observe the ongoing work being done in the Tamale Field Monitoring office in collaboration with subcontractor ADRA. The team also met with USDA officials and other project stakeholders.
