The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food for Progress funded AMPLIFIES Ghana poultry and feed industry development project is moving into its next phase.

Various subcontractors were in St. Louis recently preparing for upcoming activities that include improving feed and feedstuff quality analysis, feed miller training and poultry farm management capacity building. Iowa State, Kansas State, University of Kentucky and Oklahoma State all have professors and graduate students working on various aspects of this project and along with ADRA all had personnel in St. Louis for the meeting. USDA is providing the American Soybean Association World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) with $14.8 million over five years, 95 percent of which is funded by the sale of U.S. commodities, a process called monetization.
