Alan Meadows, a farmer from Halls, Tenn., began serving on the American Soybean Association (ASA) Board of Directors in Dec. 2017. He averages 2300 acres of soybeans; he also produces corn and occasionally wheat.
Meadows joined the Tennessee Soybean Association (TSA) in 2004; he has served in all leadership positions, including president of TSA in a term that ended in 2016. He participated in the ASA/DuPont Young Leader program and AgStar, a state leadership development program. He also served on the Tennessee Soybean Promotion Board for nine years.
Meadows is an avid hunter of deer, duck and turkey. He is active in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He has been married to his wife, Jami, since 2006. They have three children: Kate, Jill and Trip.
