Paul Casper is a fourth-generation farmer from Lake Preston, South Dakota, who joined the ASA Board of Directors in 2024. Paul and his wife, Korlyn, have been married for 44 years and have four children. Their son, Drew, and Son-in-law, Zach, are involved in the farming operation.
Paul has represented the South Dakota Soybean Association in many capacities for a number of years. Heis one of the original founders of the association and for 13 years was president of the first farmer-owned soybean processing plant in South Dakota: South Dakota Soybean Processors. He has been involved in organizing and helping raise equity for more than 25 other ag-related processing facilities throughout the United States.
Paul says he has been fortunate to travel the world speaking on behalf of agriculture and direct trade relations. Hewas featured in Top Producer magazine as “The Value-Added Evangelist.” In 2019, Paul was recognized by the American Soybean Association with its prestigious Pinnacle Award for his lifetime of commitment and work benefiting U.S. soybean farmers and the soybean industry. That same year, he received recognition from the governor of South Dakota as South Dakota’s Ag Ambassador.
