Randy Miller farms near Lacona, Iowa. He raises soybeans and corn, produces custom-feed nursery pigs, and runs a cow-calf operation. He farms with his wife, Sheila, and their two children.
Miller has farmed for nearly 30 years, incorporating conservation practices like cover crops, reduced tillage, terraces, waterways, and nitrogen modeling. The Millers say utilizing these practices is vital to protecting soil and water for future generations.
Miller has served on the Iowa Soybean Association board since 2016, including as a member and on the executive board of directors. Some of his other positions include at-large director, secretary, president-elect, and president. He is also an active member of his community, serving as a board member of the Warren County Fair Board, Indianola First Assembly Church, Warren County Pork Producers, and past member of the South Central Co-op Board and County 4-H Youth Council Leader.
