Randy Miller farms near Lacona, Iowa. He raises soybeans and corn, produces custom-feed nursery pigs, and runs a cow-calf operation. He farms with his wife, Sheila, and their two children. Miller has farmed for nearly 30 years, incorporating conservation practices like cover crops, strip-til /no-til, terraces, waterways, prescription applied seed, and fertilizer. The Millers say utilizing these practices is vital to protecting soil and water for future generations.

Miller served on the Iowa Soybean Association board from 2016 -2025, including as a member of the executive committee at-large director, secretary, president-elect, and president. Currently, Miller serves on the American Soybean board as an at-large member of the executive committee. He is also an active member of his community, serving as a board member of the Warren County Fair Board, Indianola First Assembly Church, Warren County Pork Producers, and past member of the South Central Co-op Board, and County 4-H Youth Council Leader.
