Ronnie Russell

Richmond, MO

Ronnie Russell is from Richmond, Missouri, and farms in Ray County, producing soybeans, corn, wheat, hay and alfalfa. He operates a retail commercial fertilizer business, has a cow calf operation and runs Russell Sunflower Patch, an agritourism destination.

In addition to serving on the board of directors of the American Soybean Association, Russell serves on the Missouri Soybean Association board of directors, where he was president 2020-2021, and the Missouri Fertilizer Control Board. He is a member of the Missouri Corn Growers Association and the Missouri Farm Bureau.

Ronnie is on the Ray County Hospital Board and served 20 years on the Richmond Rural Fire Protection Association. He was a participant in ASA's Leadership at Its Best program and is a graduate of the Missouri Agriculture Leadership of Tomorrow program (ALOT).

Ronnie received his BS in agriculture education from the University of Central Missouri (UCM). He and his wife have five daughters and three grandchildren.
