Ryan Frieders farms with his wife and four children in Waterman, Illinois, where they produce soybeans, corn, and hay and raise cattle. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Frieders completed the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation’s Ag Leadership Program in 2008 and Texas A&M’s The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers in 2020. Other accomplishments include participating in programs like the United Soybean Board’s See For Yourself, Syngenta Leadership at Its Best, Corteva Young Leaders, Illinois SoyLeader, REAP, and Farmweek Cropwatcher.
Frieders served on the Indian Creek 425 School Board and is active in the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, DeKalb County Adopt a Highway program, and St. Mary Catholic Church. Frieders currently serves as the District 1 director of the Illinois Soybean Association and member of the ISA Government Relations Committee. He was appointed to represent Illinois on the American Soybean Association Conservation and Precision Agriculture Advocacy Team and represents ASA in Field to Market on the education and outreach committee.
