The Orys have farmed in the Earlham area for 5 generations. Summer and Dan aspire to keep the farm operation thriving for generations to come through regenerative agriculture and working to continuously improve the soil profile.

Summer joined the Iowa Soybean Association Board of Directors in 2025 and served in the ISA Grassroots Fellowship Program in 2024. Summer is a member of the Iowa Cattlemen's Association and the Iowa Corn Growers Association, the current President of the Earlham School Foundation, and an American Soybean Association Director.

Summer and her husband, Dan, believe we have a divine responsibility to be a steward of both the land and the people it feeds. Responsible and sustainable operations are both a blessing to the economy and our country. We must do everything we can to collectively leave agriculture better than we found it.
