In Washington this week, ASA’s Board of Directors and other leaders in the soybean industry met for annual March meetings. After a day of advocacy team meetings and updates, soy growers headed to Capitol Hill, where they met with legislative staff, a primary objective of which was to push for completion of USMCA. Growers vocalized the importance of Farm Bill implementation and extending the biodiesel tax incentive. While in D.C., the industry continued to reiterate the importance of removing the China 301 tariffs and developing new markets, including through MAP and FMD funding.
