On Friday, July 6 the Administration's Section 301 tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese products will go into effect, as will China's in-kind retaliatory tariffs which include a 25 percent tariff on U.S. soybean imports to China.
These tariffs affect and harm real farmers and real communities, which is why ASA is encouraging growers to put faces to their plight, and promoting the hashtag #FacesOfTarffis this week.

ASA continues to encourage the Administration to find a non-tariff solution to concerns over Chinese intellectual property theft. The largest agricultural export, U.S. soy is one of the brightest lights in all U.S. exports, and instead of being collateral damage in a trade war, soy growers urge the Administration to look for ways soybeans, and all of agriculture, can increase trade opportunities to be part of a solution to reducing our trade deficit with China.
