BOD/ASAAP Meetings in DC

ASA March Meetings in Progress

The ASA Board of Directors March meetings and Hill visits are happening this week in DC. Directors from across the soy-producing states will be in Washington to visit their representatives and talk about priority issues ranging from trade to transportation. One of the greatest requests of Congress this visit will be passage of the U.S.-Canada-Mexico Agreement, or USMCA. Passing USMCA would not only ensure the gains already achieved through NAFTA, but also it would modernize our trading relationship by assuring a robust and vital marketplace for soy, maintaining zero tariffs on U.S. soybeans and soy products, and other benefits.

In conjunction with the March BOD meetings is the ASA Action Partnership meeting. ASAAP participants will hear from Ranveer Chandra of Microsoft on infrastructure and connectivity and Sarah Sampson of Maryland Farm & Harvest on her experiences in agriculture, among other speakers and topics.
