Illinois Grower Joins WISHH Program Committee

American Soybean Association (ASA) President Ron Moore has confirmed Illinois soybean grower Thomas Kentner as the newest member of the Fiscal Year 2017 World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) Program Committee.

Kentner will hold an at-large seat on the committee, which oversees WISHH’s many activities that build long-term markets for U.S. soy. He joins 15 other soybean growers from 11 states, who serve as members of the WISHH leadership team.Kentner farms near Danville and is a district director for the Illinois Soybean Association.

“I have a passion to look for new markets for soybean consumption from the U.S. and the opportunity to educate consumers about soy protein,” Kentner said in his WISHH nomination form.

Kentner and the rest of WISHH’s Program Committee are slated to meet on March 20 in Arlington, Va.
