Dec 12, 2019

USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Agricultural Affairs Ted McKinney, Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts, Sen. Joni Ernst, additional international experts and WISHH trade team participants are featured in WISHH’s new 20th anniversary video released Tuesday at the ASA 100th anniversary dinner.

The video is available for state soybean organization and other presentations to share how WISHH connects trade and development across global market systems, improving food security. McKinney and the Senators praised the vision of U.S. soybean growers for anticipating global trends that protein plays an essential role in human nutrition and for supporting WISHH as U.S. soy’s catalyst in emerging markets. Roberts stressed the importance of WISHH’s work to diversify markets for U.S. soy.

“The payoff of these last 20 years is that you have a world that has complete trust in the quality and safety of your product, and that brings a healthier and more well-fed world,” McKinney said.

The video also highlights WISHH supply chain partners from Africa, Asia and Central America. They describe the opportunities that WISHH has created for their companies to use U.S. soy in nutritious and affordable human foods and livestock feeds.
