CropLife magazine, a publication servicing agricultural retailers, welcomed ASA’s Jerry Bambauer to its PACE Advisory Council in October. Bambauer is one of two grower participants on the panel, which included 24 industry leaders from across the entire spectrum of agriculture.
“The PACE Advisory Council meets annually for a day-long discussion of key industry trends, and represents some of the best and brightest minds in agriculture,” says Paul Schrimpf, executive editor of CropLife magazine and co-moderator of the meeting. “Jerry’s contributions as a leading soybean farmer and international advocate for soybean production provided invaluable perspective and insight during the meeting. We look forward to his continued participation in 2015.”
Several key areas of discussion headlined the meeting. Managing through a potential downturn in crop prices, management challenges with new weed control systems coming to market next year, and employing best fertilizer management practices generated lively discussion at PACE.
