ASA Issues Call to Meeting Notice for Summer Board Meeting

The American Soybean Association (ASA) issued its official call to notice for the summer Board of Directors meeting July 8-10 in Washington, D.C. ASA board members should plan to arrive Sunday morning, July 7.

Monday, July 7

  • 1-6 p.m. Executive Committee Meeting

Tuesday, July 8

  • 8-10 a.m. General Session
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Joint Meeting: Public Affairs/Trade Policy & International Affairs Committee
  • 10:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. Membership & Corporate Relations Committee
  • 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Public Affairs Committee
  • 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Trade Policy & International Affairs Committee
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. Investment Lunch Meeting
  • 3:45-5:30 p.m. SoyPac Meeting
  • 3:45-5:30 p.m. Communications Committee
  • 3:35-5:30 p.m. Grassroots 101: Making the Most of Your Hill Visits

Wednesday, July 9

  • 8:30-10 a.m. General Session
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Soy Issues Forum
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. Nominating Committee

Hill visits and the soy reception, along with the WISHH Committee meeting are scheduled on Thursday, July 10.

The Board meeting will be held at the Hyatt Hotel. ASA will make room reservations for all National Board Members and alternates.  Each Director should complete the a form to notify Julie of your arrival/departure dates.  All other state staff and guest participants may call the Hyatt Regency Washington Hotel directly at (202) 737-1234 to make your reservations.  Please be sure to inform reservations you are attending the ASA Board Meeting to receive the $229 room rate.

Room reservations should be made by June 12, 2014 to guarantee availability of rooms and the room rate, unless otherwise sold out before that time.
