Kudos go to Denise Cannatella, Melville, La., who appeared this month on This Week in Louisiana Agriculture, a show helping bridge the gap between local famers and consumers.
Denise is the Louisiana Farm Bureau Leadership Committee (LFBLC) chair and recently her group traveled to northeast Louisiana to visit the world's only sweet potato processing facility where they were able to watch and learn about how sweet potato fries are made—from the field to the fryer. Denise said these trips expose the committee members to different areas of agriculture they may not be familiar with. Click here to see the video!
