ASA leaders discussed numerous pressing issues with farm broadcasters at the 71st annual NAFB show in Kansas City, Mo. on Thursday, Nov. 13.
ASA President Ray Gaesser and Chairman Danny Murphy spent the day at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in the Century Ballroom in Kansas City answering questions about the importance of waterway and rail transportation issues and its impact on soy growers as harvest is underway; the potential effect of EPA’s Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS); RFS and biodiesel’s 2014 volume numbers; GMO labeling policy and the approvals framework for biotechnology traits here in the U.S., in China and in other foreign markets and ASA’s involvement in negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and more.
