National and state soybean farmer-leaders talked with Authority® Minute Host Jake Turner about the grassroots efforts of ASA and current priorities and concerns facing soybean growers. The episode is available online now at www.AuthorityMinute.com.
ASA Board member Eric Maupin and Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) Board member Kurt Krueger met with Turner at the 2013 Commodity Classic in Kissimmee, Fla., in early March.
In the Authority Minute episode, they encouraged growers to become members of ASA and their state association and to utilize the organization as an industry resource to share input and concerns.
During the discussion, hot topics included the need to feed the growing population and how production efficiencies of soybean growers will meet this demand. Infrastructure, soybeans as an export and sustainability were additional topics discussed.
