Earlier in June, ASA presented the positives of U.S. soy at the Grain and Oilseed Market and Trade Forum in China.
ASA Board Member Alan Kemper, of Lafayette, Ind., spoke in Beijing and visited the Haunshan Group Company, in YanTai China, where they produce feed for 210,000 hogs a year.
Kemper said after a 30-year relationship, the U.S. soybean farmers are still committed to a long term partnership with the Chinese and the U.S and China agriculture organizations, industry and governments working together will help ensure a sustainable, safe food supply for the future.
Kemper emphasized that to continue ensuring stable imports of oil seeds and grains, China’s biotech approval process needs to be timely and based on sound science.
