ASA participated in the Waterways Council Inc.(WCI) board meeting, policy seminar, and Hill visits this week, in support of increasing investment in inland waterways and accelerating completion of projects vital to the transportation of soybeans and our global competitiveness. ASA CEO Ryan Findlay and Washington Representative Tom Hance heard USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue deliver the keynote address to the group on Wednesday. Other speakers at the WCI seminar include Reps. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), James Comer (R-KY), Sam Graves 9R-MO), along with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials and key staff from the House and Senate Transportation & Infrastructure and Appropriations Committees.
