American Soybean Association (ASA) farmer leaders have been in Decatur, Ill. all this week, interacting with fellow farmers, members of Congress and administration officials, media and industry partners at the 2017 Farm Progress Show.

The leadership team of President Ron Moore, Vice President John Heisdorffer and Chairman Richard Wilkins spent three days at the annual farm show speaking on ASA's core policy priorities, including trade, transportation infrastructure and the farm bill. They also had an opportunity to share concerns directly with the officials and lawmakers who can impact change on each issue.

On Wednesday, Moore spoke to members of the House Agriculture Committee at the committee's Farm Bill Listening Session at nearby Richland Community College. Later Wednesday, Moore joined Heisdorffer and Wilkins, as well as leaders of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), Illinois Soybean Association and Illinois Corn Growers Association, for an intimate conversation with Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue.

The 2017 Farm Progress Show was a success due in large part to the support the ASA team received from Kubota, who donated the use of two RTV-x1120D utility vehicles during the show. To see more of ASA at this year's show, follow the #ASAatFPS hashtag on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
