American Soybean Association (ASA) Vice President Ron Moore, a grower from Roseville, Ill., spoke at the U.S. Cuba delegation Washington, D.C. reception, honoring a Cuban delegation visiting the U.S. to learn more about agriculture and trade opportunities on April 18.
Moore’s comments, delivered on behalf of the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), showcased the opportunities for bilateral trade between Cuba and the U.S. and highlighted the possibilities for U.S. soy.
The event co-sponsored by USSEC, the U.S. Grains Council (USGC), USA Rice Federation, U.S. Wheat Associates, the Missouri Corn Growers Association and the North American Export Grain Association welcomed the USGC Cuban trade delegation to the United States.
During their visit, the team will conduct meetings in Washington, D.C., St. Louis, Mo. and New Orleans, La. They will meet with the trade industry, U.S. farmers, and sub-terminal and terminal export facilities in order to improve the individuals’ understandings of the U.S. grain purchasing, handling, transportation and export systems.
