The American Soybean Association’s (ASA) World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) Executive Director Jim Hershey was in Washington, DC this week, meeting with USAID, US Feed Grains Council, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and the Aga Khan Industrial Promotion Services bureau.

Hershey also attended the World Food Program USA’s 12th annual George McGovern Leadership Award ceremony. This year, the ceremony recognized former Senator Bob Dole for his lifetime work on hunger and food security issues.

In fact, the WFP USA announced they would be changing the name of the award to the McGovern-Dole Leadership Award.
