ASA/WISHH Staff Meet with Supply Chain Partners in Africa

Sep 12, 2013

The American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) Program Manager, Erica Morrow, and Project Officer, Josh Neiderman, traveled to Kenya this week to visit with supply-chain partner, Chemicals and Solvents (ChemSolv) Inc. ChemSolv has imported more than 400 MT of “value-added soy protein” products this year.

While in Kenya, the team also visited with several customers that currently use soy in their meat products. These companies are producing more than 20 finished products that are available in the East and Central African region. These types of supply-chain activities are made possible through Market Development funding from USDA.
