The American Soybean Association World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) Asia Division Director Alan F. Poock traveled to Kansas State University this week for meetings with various programs, including Feed the Future innovation labs. Keenan McRoberts, ASA/WISHH new business development manager, participated remotely.
Poock met with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Sustainable Intensification and with the Innovation Lab for the Reduction of Post-Harvest Loss. These labs have programs in select WISHH markets in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Central America. In addition, Poock met with Dr. Vincent Amanor-Boadu about his economic and poultry market research in Ghana and with the International Grains Program about existing and future collaboration, including short course offerings.
ASA/WISHH continues to expand its network of partners and organizations that work in emerging markets.
