Last week USB staff hosted the State Soybean Summit in St. Louis. The first-of-its-kind event featured a project overview, research discussion, communications roundtable and compliance conversation.
More than 60 QSSB and soybean leaders participated in the four-day meeting, including Wendy Brannen and Jessica Wharton of ASA. For many it was the first opportunity to meet and interact with new USB staff.
Attendees commented on the value of peer interaction and appreciation for the open conversation between USB and soy stakeholders. USB staff also gathered new ideas on how best to work the entire U.S. soy community to advance shared goals. USB will distribute a formal survey to participants to gather perspectives on how the meeting can add value to QSSBs and support an effective and coordinated approach to executing the checkoff vision at all levels.
