Mar 26, 2015

CC 4 colorFINALASA Farmer-leaders and staff met in New Orleans this week for a kick-off meeting to plan the 2016 Commodity Classic.

The committee toured the New Orleans Convention Center and city, evaluated the 2015 Commodity Classic survey results and brainstormed ideas for the 2016 show.

ASA Director Sam Butler, New Hope, Ala., who serves as Commodity Classic Grower Committee co-chair, along with ASA Directors Ed Erickson, Jr., Milnor, N.D. and Gerry Hayden, Calhoun, Ky., joined the rest of the Commodity Classic Grower Committee, corporate sponsors and ASA Commodity Classic Event Director Abby Podkul and Executive Director Bill Schuermann for the planning meeting.

Only a month after a record breaking show of nearly 8,000 attendees in Phoenix, the committee is looking forward to another landmark 2016 Commodity Classic in New Orleans on March 3-5.
