Planning for next year’s Commodity Classic is already in full-swing. The Commodity Classic Joint Venture Committee and Affiliate Council met with the Commodity Classic Corporate Planning Council in Orlando last week to recap the 2018 show and kick-off planning for 2019. The Corporate Planning council is comprised of Commodity Classic Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors.
The group discussed survey results from the 2018 Classic. According to the survey, 96 percent rated the overall show as “Excellent” or “Good.” Conversations about the 2019 show focused on ways to build on the excitement and successes of 2018’s show.
The American Soybean Association (ASA) was represented at the meeting by JV Committee members Wade Cowan (co-chair), Gerry Hayden (past co-chair), Bill Wykes and Brad Doyle, along with staff Bill Schuermann, Abby Podkul and Kendra Murphy Pirk. Joining ASA on the committee, are National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) leaders Martin Barbre (co-chair), Paul Taylor (past co-chair), Bob Bowman and Anthony Bush. Affiliate Council members are National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG), National Sorghum Producers (NSP) and Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
The 2019 Commodity Classic will be held in Orlando, Fla., at the Orange County Convention Center.
