Extruder Arrives in Pakistan Under ASA/WISHH Project

Apr 18, 2013

This week, extrusion equipment arrived in Pakistan as part of ASA’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) "FEEDing Pakistan" project funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Under the project, ASA/WISHH has partnered with local Pakistani company Oryza Organics to produce floating fish feed made with U.S. soybean meal. With ASA/WISHH support, Oryza purchased the extruder from Extru-Tech International in Sabetha, Kan.

Once the equipment is installed, Oryza will begin production of the first high-protein, floating fish feed to be produced in Pakistan; production will utilize 25 metric tons of U.S. soybean meal imported by ASA/WISHH.
