Members of the ASA Action Partnership (ASAAP) met in the Minneapolis suburb of Chaska this week to discuss important issues impacting the soybean industry. ASAAP members met Wednesday and Thursday with representatives from industry solutions providers, state and federal agencies and academia to address policy matters including trade with China, biotechnology and the new GMO Answers campaign, and water quality issues in Minnesota and nationwide.

ASAAP brings together the farmer members of ASA with the industry partners that provide the solutions they use everyday. Attendees included representatives from Dow AgroSciences, Elanco Animal Health, Monsanto, Bayer CropScience, Archer Daniels Midland, Co., Syngenta, FMC, BASF, and DuPont Pioneer, as well as farmers and staff from ASA, the United Soybean Board, U.S. Soybean Export Council, the host Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, Tennessee Soybean Association, and the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association.
Presenters this week include USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Biotech Industry Organization, public relations firm Ketchum, the University of Minnesota and the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
