Frank Bruce Simmons of Wadsworth, Ohio is the first grand prize winner of the ASA Quarterly Recruiter Challenge. Simmons recruited 23 members to support ASA’s grassroots advocacy efforts and strengthen soybean farmers’ voice in Washington, D.C. Simmons was one of 38 recruiters who recruited 10 or more members during the Jan. 1 through March 31 quarter. All told, during this period the 38 eligible recruiters recruited or renewed more than 1,000 soybean growers to join ASA. Simmons will receive a Kindle Fire 8.9" HD.
The ASA Quarterly Recruiter Challenges continues. Recruiters who sign up 10 or more members during the second quarter, April 1 to June 30, will be eligible for an iPad Mini. Recruiters who sign up 10 or more members in the third quarter, July 1 through Sept. 30, will be eligible for a Sony Flip UltraHD video camera.
The ASA Recruiter Quarterly Challenge will not replace the annual top recruiter contest. ASA will continue to recognize overall recruiter excellence in each of the three state association levels. An ASA recruiter can only win one quarterly contest in a fiscal year.
