Hitting the Right Notes for Leadership: Soybean Leadership College Announces 2014 Speakers

Nashville, the “Country Music Capitol of the World”, will make music to your ears this January, and it won’t be at The Grand Ole Opry. The 14th Annual American Soybean Association Leadership College will hit all the right notes for leadership on January 13-15, 2014 at Nashville’s Hutton Hotel.

The set list at Soybean Leadership College opens Monday afternoon with popular ag TV host John Phipps. Phipps will address attendees at the general session about grain prices, international and national market demands, and how growers and associations can prepare for future trends.

Tuesday morning’s general session will star Charlie Arnot, CEO of the Center for Food Integrity. Arnot will address attendees about the latest strategies to build consumer trust and confidence in the food system.

Damian Mason will be the closing general session speaker on Tuesday discussing agriculture trends, topics and the future of agriculture. Mason’s presentation will offer eye-opening insights and thought-provoking dialogue on issues facing the business of food production.

The Soybean Leadership College will also showcase breakout education sessions on organizational leadership, communications and the latest issues impacting the soybean industry such as the key target areas of Freedom to Operate and Customer Focus.

The Soybean Leadership College is open to ASA, USB and USSEC directors, state association and QSSB leaders and staff, soybean producers wanting to assume a leadership position on a state or national level and college students seeking to further develop their organizational leadership skills.
