Senate Signatures Needed for China Biotech Letter

Oct 27, 2016

As China is a vital trading partner for American agriculture, and soybeans in particular, the American Soybean Association (ASA) supports biotechnology being a top priority for the United States during a series of meetings this fall with the Chinese, including the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade in November.

The Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Ag Committee are leading a letter urging President Barack Obama to place an added focus on Chinese biotech regulatory approvals. They are reaching out to signers of the 2015 letter. ASA encourages soy growers to reach out to their Senate Members, listed below, between now and Nov. 2 and encourage them to sign on to the letter again this year.
